Visa Application
&
Travel Documents

We want to ensure a smooth travel experience for our guests coming from abroad.
Here's a quick guide on visa requirements for entering Brazil:

Do You Need a Visa?
Yes!

As of April 10, 2025, U.S., Canadian, and Australian passport holders require a visa to visit Brazil for tourism, including attending our wedding. If you hold a European or South American passport, you most likely don't need a visa, but please confirm by visiting their website here

Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months before your planned departure date.

Applying for an e-Visa
U.S. citizens can conveniently apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) online. Here's a step-by-step guide:

1. Brazilian e-Visa
Click here and visit the official website

2. Create an account:

Click "Sign Up" and follow the prompts to create a login and receive a verification code (OTP).

3. Start your application:

Once logged in, you'll be guided through the application process.

4. Required documents for application:

You'll only need a clear picture of your passport and a recent 3x5 digital photo (a selfie with a white background works perfectly). Don't worry about filling out the additional document sections; they're not required for this visa type.

5. Cost and processing time:

The e-Visa costs $80.90, is valid for ten years with multiple entries, and is typically processed within five business days. However, applying at least two months before your travel date is recommended to allow for any unforeseen delays. You can track your application status after submission.

Upon Arrival in Brazil

Present a printed copy of your approved e-Visa and your passport to immigration officials. It's a good idea to bring two physical copies and keep a digital copy on your phone for easy access.
We hope this information helps! If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to us.
