As of April 10, 2025, U.S. passport holders from the U.S., Canada, and Australia will need a visa to travel to Brazil for any purpose, including tourism. Here are the key details:

U.S. citizens will require an e-visa.

The e-visa application can be completed online. Visit the official Brazilian government website (https://brazil.vfsevisa.com) to apply.

3. Cost
The e-visa will cost $80.90 and be valid for ten years, allowing multiple entries.

4. Processing Time
Although the average processing time is up to five business days, it is recommended that you apply at least two months before your travel date to allow for any corrections or additional documentation that may be required.

5. Documentation
You will need a valid U.S. passport to apply for the e-visa. For minors, one or both parents must complete an application.

6. Arrival
You must present a printed copy of the e-visa along with your passport upon arrival. It's advisable to print two physical copies and keep a digital copy on your mobile device
